22nd Design Without Borders
Object-Photo / Photo-Object
International Exhibition
Kiscelli Museum, Budimpešta
4.10. – 1.11. 2026
The Oloop Collective will participate in the international exhibition 22nd Design Without Borders with the project Body, Textile, Memory, taking place at the Kiscelli Museum in Budapest from 4 October to 1 November 2026. This year’s exhibition, Object-Photo / Photo-Object, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of photography, explores the relationship between objects and photography and brings together more than 150 creators from nearly 18 countries.
The project Body, Textile, Memory was originally developed in 2014 between Ljubljana and Izmir. Through the participation of audiences from Slovenia and Turkey, we explored femininity, the body and memory, and the traces they leave in everyday life. Discarded jacquard textile strips were transformed into objects carrying personal stories and memories. The participants then wore these objects on their bodies and stepped in front of photographer Kristjan Jarni’s camera, who captured their connection with the works they had created in a series of intimate portraits.
We are pleased that Body, Textile, Memory will once again come to life before an international audience and enter into a new dialogue with contemporary design, photography and art.
