The project Connections is a textile installation in progress. Project offers the moments of calm engagement, creative expression, healing remembrance, relaxed socialisation to regular people.
Visitors were invited to take off shoes, sit down, inspect, touch, and learn simple textile technique, how to make a rug with their fingers. The project connected people by working together on the symbolic textile field – carpet. The process of creation was left to the audience. Their individual contribution had been made with a certain color of thread, which left a textile record. At the same time the carpet has told the story of each individual and their contribution to the common, which is something greater than ourselves.
The project was launched in November 2012 in Gallery Kresija in Ljubljana and continued its journey to: Parco di San Giovanni (Trieste, Italy, 2013), Park Tivoli (Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2013), TEDxNovaGorica (Nova Gorica, Slovenia, 2013), Learning village (Castle Štadenberg, Slovenia, 2014), ArtOmat6 (Zagreb, Croatia, 2015).
